is it possible to plug tomcat into apache?

People are talking here as if it was possible, but there is no
documentation about it anywhere to find.

Thanks for the quick answer!

After downloading a newer version I finally found the
Tomcat+Apache-HOWTO, thanks!

But I cannot access jsp file from user directories anymore. I used
to access the gnujsp engine, but the "jserv-servlet" handler
does not seem to resolve "public_html" user directories. Is there
any configuration option to allow jsp files to reside in the same
directory as html files and such or is it a bug in jasper? I didn't
see anything useful in server.xml.

Sure it is.

In the tomcat INSTALL file you'll find that it asks you to download the
mod_jserv.so file and place it at apache's libexec directory; it also
asks you to add a line to http.conf to include tomcat's config file.
If your Apache rejects the mod_jserv.so file saying that it was compiled
in plain Apache API and it can break under your EAPI compiled Apache,
you'll have to get JServ 1.1 compile it in dinamic mode and with the
enable-EAPI option, and when you make install for it, you'll have a
mod_jserv.so file compatible with your Apache. This is all you need to
plug Tomcat into Apache.

do make install for it, you'll
