can't get connected to the slide install

Hi all,
I installed the jakarta-tomcat-4.0.1.exe on a windows 2000 server with some
success. However, I am unable to connect to it from my client machine. I am
using DAVexplorer - I know the server is listening since I get a login
screen. I connect with the following string 'http://10.0.16.170:8081/slide -
I have also tried ports 8080 and 8082. I try the various username/password
pairs that are in the tomcat-user.xml file but no success. Is there a
default account defined elsewhere?
Thanks so much,
John

Yes.

Connecting to 8080 should display a welcome page (assuming the standalone
server is used as the server; if you use Tomcat 4.0.1 + the Slide WAR, then
it's completely different). There is no security checking on that page, so
it should work. It contains additional instruction on what needs to be
configured to be able to log in.

If you're using the webapp, you have to uncomment an element defining the
root password in the Domain.xml file.
