Ambari 3.0 build/release for Open source stack

Team,

Looking for Ambari 3.0 build/release. The wiki below says 3.0 - a separate
project for Bigtop.

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=30755705

Please let me know whether there is a planned release soon - is there a way
to take the source
<https://github.com/apache/ambari-metrics/releases/tag/release-3.0.0> and
build to have a working package?

TIA
~JAK
