Progress so far(16th Oct):
1. merged Jay's work into *cnb* branch and I'm polishing individual stuff...
2. consolidated storage via Rook... block storage with Ceph and object storage with Minio
3. based on 2, deployed shared zookeeper cluster and kafka cluster and also added simple smoke tests for those components by leveraging existing our  test framework
4. evaluating on kubectl plugin for CNB to reduce repetitive tasks (ongoing)
5. evaluating on bumping up version of PrestoSQL

That is the status quo as of today
