DO NOT REPLY [Bug 48929] New: httpd processes has 100% cpu utilization

https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=48929

Summary: httpd processes has 100% cpu utilization
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.0.59
          Platform: HP
        OS/Version: HP-UX
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P2
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: matty.rnld@gmail.com

Hi All,

httpd processes has 100% cpu utilization in user space, when we
download Large files, download and other request are redirected via
weblogic apache plugin from apache server to the application server.

download big files from directly from the apache web server or
downloading big files directly from the application server (e.g
apache server redirects the request directly to the application server
via external redirect) there is no issue. Issue is happening when the
download is streaming from the webserver to application server via
weblogic plugin ( did not test other streaming application) in test we
download 1.14 GB files. using "orbit" download client we do not see
the problem, but Orbit creates 8 concurrent request and splits the download in
small pieces. Modzilla, created just a single request and immediately the http
thread utilization goes to 100%.

Can any one please help?

Regards,

Matty

if downloading from Apache HTTP Server directly works, and you only have a
problem when you use a vendors module, you need to report the symptom to the
vendor.
