Interesting! What does 'Complete Ant + Ivy build system overhaul.' actually mean? Also, i actually don't see the point in having separate mapper and reducer packages, besides that it is just confusing not to have fetcher, parser, indexer or whatever main classes, utility classes and mapper/reducer or *format classes together. I do think that using Maven is a very good thing, the is true for using mapreduce API's.
