Experiences with security devices ?

Dear people,

does someone use security devices (smartcards, usb-dongles (e.g. by ultimaco) , ...) for Subversion authentication ?
Even if I encrypt my 'Documents And Settings' and 'My Documents', all the account information can be found in the Windows Registry.
Or ist it the wrong way securing the credentials ?
