The Java/Scala demos can be cleaned up and made simpler by better leveraging Maven. Some recommended improvements:
 * Remove the Makefiles and use Maven directly. This requires adding platform (osx, cpu, gpu) profiles to the pom files. Update this in the README
 * Remove the scripts and instead use "mvn exec:java -Dexec.mainClass=..." to directly call the classes. The commands to run should be put into the README

Currently, the demos contain a readme, makefile, pom file, scripts, and sources. After these improvements, it would only have a readme, pom file, and sources. This should make it simpler for users to work and make MXNet look far cleaner.
