up to date debian-alpha packages of embperl?
Hi,
does anybody know if there are up-to-date (meaning 1.3b5) binary
packages for Debian Linux (Alpha) somewhere out there? The .deb
included in the distribution (Potato) is Embperl 1.2.1, which among other
things is not even compatible to the also distributed
Apache::Session 1.53 ...

just compile it from source (from memory):
"apt-get source libhtml-embperl-perl"
download the 1.3b5 archive
"cd libhtml-embperl-perl-1.2.1"
"uupdate <path to embperl 1.3b5 archive> 1.3b5"
"cd ../libhtml-embperl-perl-1.3b5"
"debian/rules binary"
"dpkg -i ../libhtml-embperl-perl-1.3b5-1_alpha.deb"
(you'll need "devscripts" and "debhelper" packages installed)
libhtml-embperl-perl is currently an orphaned package. i'll probably adopt
it in a week or so and upload a new version.
i can give you an intel .deb, or the patched source, if you want
