[jira] Commented: (MNG-3965) shade plugin error when compiling Mercury trunk

Shane Isbell commented on MNG-3965:
-----------------------------------

The shade-plugin generates a dependency reduce pom in which there is an execution for maven-remote-resources-plugin with <id>default-execution-id</id>. The parent also has maven-remote-resources-plugin with a default id (not defined). Pom builder treats these as two valid executions (one with id, one without). Then when pom is output, the <id>default-execution-id</id> is stripped out, leaving the pom with two executions, neither with ids. Thus failure.

[jira] Closed: (MNG-3965) shade plugin error when compiling Mercury trunk

     [ http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNG-3965?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]

Shane Isbell closed MNG-3965.
-----------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed

Solution: remove explicit execution ids that have default-execution-id, to make them weaker, thus functioning the same as an implied one.

Shane Isbell commented on MNG-3965:
-----------------------------------

The original parse error is no longer there, but I see the following problem (below). There are two executions (both w/o ids) for the remote resources plugin. I traced this up the tree and can't find the additional entry. I have no idea where it is coming from.

            <plugin>
                <artifactId>maven-remote-resources-plugin</artifactId>
                <version>1.0</version>
                <executions>
                    <execution>
                        <goals>
                            <goal>process</goal>
                        </goals>
                        <configuration>
                            <resourceBundles>
                                <resourceBundle>org.apache:apache-jar-resource-bundle:1.3</resourceBundle>
                            </resourceBundles>
                        </configuration>
                    </execution>
                    <execution>
                        <goals>
                            <goal>process</goal>
                        </goals>
                        <configuration>
