Ver : Apache 1.1
Port : 81
OS : Solaris 2.5 x86
Client : Netscape 2.01 32 bit for Win95, proxies set for port 81 for ftp/gopher/http
Error Message : Bad Gateway   The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

  All goes well until you attempt to access _any_ ftp site
It appears an initial connection is made to the local server

contacting host.. host contacted etc.  but the connection then
'freezes'.

Connection is (as reported by the 'status' module) during processing..

  Remote host is reachable and able to answer ftp queriers.  The same is the case for attempt to access
the local ftp server.
