Re: struts2 with beehive
There's been no work in that direction yet. Currently it works with
1.2.x and supports 1.1 for legacy apps.
What are the specific features from Struts 2 that you're looking for?
Just curious.
Thanks,
Carlin

Hey Kevin,
Thank you for the reply and information.
I haven't heard of recent work, plans or discussions. However, early
last year there was a discussion on the dev list about Struts 2.0 and
NetUI. It covered some of the preliminary discussions about
involvement with the Struts community and the next phase of NetUI.
There have also been a few other posts to the user list and an
addition to the Beehive wish list on the wiki page to request support
for Struts 2. The user and dev communities, and the consensus based
development process as an Apache project, will determine if / when
Beehive NetUI would support Struts 2. Thanks for sharing your
interest!
Kind regards,
Carlin

Carlin,
I don't know yet which features I will use. I am first making my SOA. But it
will be a large project (for personal use). And I don't know whether I will
be building it with EGL or with Struts. But I was thinking for the future.
The total concept will be web service based by using model 2 (MVC) and with
TTS en VR(voice Recognition) support...Hardware/software will also be very
different (from Solaris8 toward Linux Mandrake9 towards Microsoft XP) and
screens will be CRT, TFT and touchscreen. Computers will be laptop, desktop
and pda (palm). So...I still have some time.
But I think beehive would be an advantage...So...
But do you know whether there will be a beehive for struts2 or are there no
plans at all...
Regards,
KS
