For the past several weeks I've been unable to add new users to the "contributor" role in the JIRA admin console for the Hadoop Common or HDFS projects. When i do this, a JS alert pops up saying that the JIRA server couldn't be contacted.

In the past when this has happened I've been able to fix it by blowing away my cached cookies, but that doesn't seem to be working now.

Will attach a screen shot of the exact error I'm seeing.
