Regular expression to pick an Id

Hello,

Kindly let me know if the regular expression is valid to pick an Id in the following case:

HTML line of code: <INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="elemId" VALUE="16">

Regexp tried:
<INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="elemId" VALUE="(\d+)">

OR

(?s)<INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="elemId" VALUE="(.*?)">

The samplers fail to fetch the Id for both of these regexp. Can I get a suggestion
on the same..
Regards,
Akshata

Hello Sebb,

Thanks for your input,
I have a default value which is a message to indicate it failed to fetch the Id.

My regexp extractor is configured as  below:

RefName: vid
Regexp: <INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="elemId" VALUE="(\d+)">
Template: $1$
Match No: 1
Default Value: FAILED TO FETCH ID (For my reference in the response)

jmeter Logs :

This indicates that the HTTP version is not supported. But the funniest part is the same samplers were executed successfully for few runs.

Can i get help to find the reason for the failure with the above logs?

Regards,
Akshata

The REs look OK, and work fine in the ORO demo:

http://jakarta.apache.org/oro/demo.html

Make sure you are using a default value so you can check if the RE
test element is actually being processed, and check jmeter.log in case
of any errors.
