[jira] [Commented] (THRIFT-930) Ruby and Haskell bindings don't
properly support DESTDIR (makes packaging painful)

Jake Farrell commented on THRIFT-930:
-------------------------------------
ruby has been converted to a gem and is now available via rubygems.org, not sure about haskell but can easily default prefix to destdir as suggested for java. Thoughts?

> Anthony Molinar has this to say on a different thread:
> """One thing which is likely an issue to be addressed at some point is that I doubt 'make DESTDIR=/tmp install' will work, so people packaging with rpm/deb will most likely have to disable haskell until that is fixed, but not a big enough deal to stop inclusion (besides ruby also has this problem)."""
