[VOTE] Release Tuscany Java SCA 1.4 (RC3)
The release artifacts for the Tuscany SCA for Java 1.4 release are now
available, please review and vote to release.
The artifacts are available for at:
http://people.apache.org/~ramkumar/tuscany/1.4RC3/<http://people.apache.org/%7Eramkumar/tuscany/1.4RC3/>
This includes the signed binary and source distributions, Maven staging
repository, and eclipse update site and RAT report.
The SVN tag for the release is:

This is looking pretty good to me, all the samples i've tried so far are
working fine in standalone, tomcat and websphere, legal files are good,
there's no junk files in the distros etc. Unfortunately the src distribution
fails to build as some pieces have got inadvertently exlcuded and thats
going to need a respin to fix. Here's a list of what i've found so far, i'll
raise JIRAs and start on some fixes:
org.apache.tuscany.sca.work accidentally excluded from src distro so fails
to build
similar to above, tools\eclipse\plugins\core fails to build as log pkg is
missing
samples pom.xml includes these but not included in src distro so it fails to
build:
calculator-corba-reference
calculator-corba-service
customer-dojo
customer-dojo-webapp
loanapplication
no prebuilt calculator-webapp war included with bin distro
two stax api jars in bin distro lib:
- stax-api-1.0.2
- geronimo-stax-api_1.0_spec-1.0.1.jar
Jars in update site have NOTICE files with "${pom.name}" instead of project
name
No public key in keyserver or SVN KEYS so can't verify signatures
eclipse update site site.xml not signed
No staging mvn repo so can't check that.

Hi All,
I apologize for the delay, was facing some in working with the ssh keys, and
its been resolved now.
I have now created 1.4RC4 for voting, by the making the necessary changes
suggested. Please vote for RC4. Thanks.

Ram is having some trouble with the set up to get the deploy working
correctly so for now I'll publish a maven staging repo for the RC3 artifacts
at http://people.apache.org/~antelder/tuscany/1.4-RC3/maven/. Its uploading
now but will take a little while to complete.

Hey guys,
Firstly seasons greetings to all!
I'm only just catching up on the proposed 1.4 releases and I'm going
to try to validate the latest RC - however I've spotted there's no
maven repository? Is this not part of the standard RC/build? Would
it be possible to organise that these repositories are included in the
normal build.... having this available during the RC proposals has
proven invaluable in the past :)
