tomcat 4.0.1 - high processor load

I've got a problem with the Tomcat 4.0.1 (on SUN machine with Java
1.3).

After working X hours or days (sometimes it's week or two, sometimes only
few days) tomcat process loads over 50% of CPU (before this happens tomcat
loads 1% CPU).
I must restart the tomcat to "fix" it.

Web application: 20 jsp pages, 5-15 request per minute.

Where is the problem?

- JVM (maybe GC tuning could help)
- Tomcat (i'm going to install 4.0.3)
- ??
