BayesSQL for PostgreSQL has undergone a complete rewrite in 3.1. It's know that
3.0 does not work well with PG and will not be fixed.
Please feel free to check out the latest version of 3.1-dev from SVN and test
that under PG.

I just tested the CVS version (ie 1.40_1) and the issue is fixed
there.
So, I'll renew my suggestion, either downgrade to 1.32 or upgrade to
CVS and or wait for 1.41.

It appears that DBD::Pg 1.40 is a little overzealous in the way that
it treats parameters. This is not the case in 1.32.
It seems entirely unrealistic, and allows for almost no code sharing
between various SQL dbs, to have to explicitly set the type for each
parameter sent to the DB.
I've found at least one case where this might be a DBD::Pg bug, so I'm
going to hold off on any wholesale changes at the moment.
My suggestion, beyond using the PG specific storage module in 3.1, is
to downgrade to DBD::Pg 1.32.
