Apache WebServer not starting if installed on Compaq Array logical disk

Apache WebServer fails to start if it is installed in a Compaq
Raid Array Controller 431 with three Ultra Wide SCSI-III disks configured as a
Raid-5 logical-disk.
The error_log message is:

file .\main\http_main.c, line 5990, assertion "start_mutex" failed

Workaround:   install CW2000 on IDE disk
