RE: remove the text "Welcome to Jetspeed ->"

In the jetspeed-1.3a2-release.jar (or whichever release you are
building) there are a series of resource bundles:

JetspeedLocalization.properties
JetspeedLocalization_fr.properties
JetspeedLocalization_es.properties
JetspeedLocalization_en.properties
JetspeedLocalization_de.properties

To change the title message, edit the properties file and change the
value associated with the key TOP_TITLE. Make sure that they go back
into the proper package structure.

If you want to use your own Localization resources, create a package
underneath the WEB-INF/classes directory for the resources. Extract the
JetspeedLocalization.properties (plus any localised versions) into that
package and modify it.

Then go into WEB-INF/conf/TurbineResources.properties and edit the key
locale.default.bundle to point to the resource bundle that you want to
use. E.g. if you have created a package called com.somewhere.resources
with a properties file called PortalResources.properties then the key
would be:

	locale.default.bundle=com.somewhere.resources.PortalResources

If you want to edit the velocity templates, go into WEB-INF/templates
directory and edit the .vm files in the layouts and navigations
directories. They are pretty straight forward. Have a look at the
default.vm. I've had some problems getting the jsp layout manager
working so I just stuck to velocity. Everywhere where you see $l10n that
will print the localised value of the key in the locale.default.bundle.

Speaking of localisation, is there any documentation on how to localise
a portlet? I want to be able to specify a resource bundle for a portlet
and have jetspeed pick it up and use that instead of having to modify
the default bundle for every portlet that I have.
