Calcite version

I have noticed that Phoenix 4.5 has been released a few days back, but I
see that it still uses Calcite 1.2. That makes the query server only usable
for basic types (varchar and some integer types) and upgrade to 1.3 would
have fixed that. It seems that 1.4 should be released relatively soon. Are
there any plans to upgrade in Phoenix 4.6?

I filed PHOENIX-2174. If you can get to it in the next day, then it can
make it into a 4.5.1.
Thanks,
James

I know of no reason to wait for 1.4. I say open the ticket and let's get it
bumped.

Hey ,
Thanks for letting us know. Too bad we didn't catch this before the
release. Would you mind filing a JIRA with a patch attached if you have
time? Is there an advantage to waiting until Calcite 1.4 is out instead?
Thanks,
James
