PDF won't print

Hi all,

I've embedded an SVG using <fo:instream-foreign-object>,
and I've set the "strokeSVGText" option to "false" in
userconfig.xml.

The problem is that the generated PDF won't print using
Acrobat. Nothing comes out of the printer. The PDF displays
correctly onscreen, including all SVG text.

If I set strokeSVGText to "true", the PDF prints OK, but the
SVG text looks bad onscreen, and the file size becomes
unacceptably large.

I'm using Fop 0.20.3, on WinNT 4.0. I've used the Helvetica
font for all SVG text.

I'd greatly appreciate your suggestions.

Regards,
Arnold

I have this same problem, but it is only on some of my printers.
This usually occurs if I try to embed Fonts. The primary printer
I have trouble with is an HP4050 in PS mode. Any of the non
laser, i.e. DeskJet's etc.., all print just fine. When I have a problem
the printer will blink at me saying "Receiving Data.." for a while then
just quit, no error and no paper either. I have found that if I print
the
PDF through Distiller then send that output to the printer, it will
work.

Just one nitpicking thought: why not to upgrade fop to the latest release?
