svnsync failing on large commit

Hi

 

I have a problem with svnsync failing when syncing a revision that had 1
very large file committed.  The file is a binary file 1.3GB in size.
The svnsync runs but before it completes it exits and outputs "svnsync:
Caught signal".  The sync has been setup to use the svn protocol on both
ends and is not using webdav.   The primary server is running version
1.5.3 and the secondary is running 1.5.5

 

I've had this happen 3 times now.  On the last attempt to sync I
monitored the size of the file in db/txn-protorevs and it would appear
that crash happens at around the time the full file has been copied
although I can't confirm this exactly as the file is deleted when the
crash happens.  I'm currently running a sync where the local connection
is using the file protocol to see if that makes any difference.
Unfortunately the time to copy the data is around 10 hours over the WAN
link so it will be a while before I know the answer.

 

Has anyone seen anything like this before?
