Description:
The following patch should be applied to get rid of NullPointerException.

When you enter the jmx-console, select 'bootURL' from 'geronimo.boot' section. On the console NullPointerException pops up because of the pair (geronimo.boot:type=BootMLet,bootURL="file:C:/geronimo/target/geronimo-DEV/etc/boot.mlet", LibraryDirectory) which is an input parameter to server.getAttribute(<1st elem>,<2nd elem>).
