   Hi @MrXionGe — if nobody is working on this, I'd like to pick it up.
   
   The gap is real: in the streaming read path, only the first row of a merged region carries the value, so the remaining rows come back empty. My plan is to first post a short design proposal here — how the filled values would be exposed (e.g. an opt-in flag and/or a listener hook) without changing default behavior for existing users — and then send a PR once the approach gets a green light. Feedback on the API shape is welcome before I start.
