[jira] [Created] (LEGAL-215) Including xerial's sqlite-jdbc jar in Apache distro?

Tim Allison created LEGAL-215:
---------------------------------

Summary: Including xerial's sqlite-jdbc jar in Apache distro?
                 Key: LEGAL-215
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-215
             Project: Legal Discuss
          Issue Type: Question
            Reporter: Tim Allison

We recently had a request to add SQLLite parsing in Tika (TIKA-1511). Xerial has a user-friendly jdbc wrapper that includes native libs from SQLLite [here|https://bitbucket.org/xerial/sqlite-jdbc]. According to Xerial's site, {quote} This program follows the Apache License version 2.0 {quote}.

The underlying SQLite native libs that are bundled in the jar have no license according to [this|https://www.sqlite.org/copyright.html].

Is there any problem with including Xerial's jar in an Apache distribution?
