Jackrabbit 1.6.5 release plan

Hi,

As seen in Jira there's still some demand for more 1.6.x fixes, so
what I'd like to do in terms of the planned end of life status for
Jackrabbit 1.x is to cut a 1.6.5 release next week and have that as
the last supported release from the 1.6 line. We can send out the end
of line notice along with the 1.6.5 release notes.

See below for the draft release notes, including list of fixed issues,
for the upcoming 1.6.5 release. Let me know if there are other issues
that should still be backported.

Comments/improvements welcome.

Assuming no big issues are raised, I'll cut the release candidate and
start the vote over the weekend.

Release Notes -- Apache Jackrabbit -- Version 1.6.5

Introduction
------------

Apache Jackrabbit 1.6.5 is a bug fix release that fixes issues reported
against previous releases. This release is backwards-compatible with the
earlier 1.6.x releases, but contains a change in persistence format that
makes it impossible to downgrade to releases earlier than 1.6.2 after a
repository has been upgraded. A full backup of the repository is recommended
before this upgrade.

End of life notice
------------------

This patch release marks the end of active maintenance of the Jackrabbit
1.6 branch. All users are encouraged to upgrade to the more recent
Jackrabbit 2.x versions.

Changes in this release
-----------------------

This release fixes the following issues:

  JCR-2427 UUIDDocId.getDocumentNumbers() may return illegal value
  JCR-2969 FileDataStore garbage collection can throw a ...
  JCR-3065 ConcurrentModificationException in FineGrainedISMLocking
  JCR-3077 WeightedHighlighter does not encode XML markup characters

Release Contents
----------------

This release consists of a single source archive packaged as a zip file.
The archive can be unpacked with the jar tool from your JDK installation.
See the README.txt file for instructions on how to build this release.

The source archive is accompanied by SHA1 and MD5 checksums and a PGP
signature that you can use to verify the authenticity of your download.
The public key used for the PGP signature can be found at
