If an element has an immediate simpleType, that simple type has a dfdlx:repType property on it, a Schema Definition Warning indiates the repType is ignored. 

This usage of dfdlx:repType should be allowed on immediate simple types. 

The workaround is to use named simple types instead, but this is burdensome.
