Xalan-C Build Status - FreeBSD Issue

Greetings, -- Xalan-C Build Status Report

I am testing some binary builds of Xalan-C on several platforms.
FreeBSD Version 9 has a problem - distribution has no GNU make.

Windows Visual Studio Platforms

     Visual Studio (VC6) obsoleted
     Visual Studio .NET 2003 (VC7.1) -- OK
     Visual Studio .NET 2005 (VC8) -- OK
     Visual Studio .NET 2008 (VC9) -- OK
     Visual Studio .NET 2010 (VC10) -- OK
     Visual Studio .NET 2012 (VC11) Pre-release -- NOT TESTED

Linux Distributions GNU

I have no problem with any of the newer releases -- OK

BSD Systems

FreeBSD Version 8 -- OK if using GNU make

     FreeBSD Version 9 -- FAI(L
         1. BSD make fails a build test.
         2. GNU make is not part of the distribution

PC-BSD Version 9 -- OK if using GNU make
The distribution comes with both the BSD make and the GNU make.

SOLARIS Studio 12

I have not yet tried a build on this platform.
I plan to get the Solaris media kit from Oracle for testing.

HPUX

I have not yet tried a build on this platform.
I have no access to HPUX platforms.

IBM AIX

I have not yet tried a build on this platform.
I have no access to AIX platforms

MAC OS/X

I have not yet tried a build on this platform.
I have no access to MAC OS/X platforms.

IBM 390

I have o access to IBM Mainframe platforms.
The mainframe platforms can run AIX and Linux as virtual machines
     on mainframe partitions.

---------

Does anyone have experience with BuildBot configuration on
machines that are managed by Apache Infrastructure?

Building binary packages on platforms I have not yet tested
would be useful.

Sincerely,
Steven J. Hathaway
