Reconsidering the Scheduler
Hi Lenya developers,
I guess we agree that the current scheduler interface
isn't sufficient at all. And as Cocoon comes with the
cron block now, we should consider using this one.
If I remember correctly, the major reason for using the
independent scheduler servlet was to be able to shutdown
the Cocoon servlet without affecting the scheduler. IMHO
this makes things very complicated. Is this requirement
still valid?

yes, I think this was the reason. This was at a time when blocks didn't
exist and Cocoon was becoming rather big.
IMHO

No, I don't think. The block concept kind of solved our concerns.
