[jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-3241) CQL JDBC doesn't work with groovy.sql.Sql

CQL JDBC doesn't work with groovy.sql.Sql
-----------------------------------------

                 Key: CASSANDRA-3241
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-3241
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: API
            Reporter: M Chen
            Priority: Minor

Apparently there's something that groovy.sql.Sql doesn't like about the CQL JDBC driver.
That seems a shame given how simple it is to use

M Chen commented on CASSANDRA-3241:
-----------------------------------

you can read about Groovy's SQL wrapper here
http://groovy.codehaus.org/api/groovy/sql/Sql.html

IIRC, you can create the JDBC connection with the CQL driver,
but queries don't execute properly, probably some statement attribute not being handled or emulated

-------------------------------------------

I'm afraid you'll need to be more specific. Nobody here uses Groovy.

Rick Shaw commented on CASSANDRA-3241:
--------------------------------------

Could you please provide an example of its failing? What are the symptoms? What was the CQL (NOT SQL) that caused a failure? What results did you get using Java rather than Groovy?
