If the method CvsScmProvider.parseScmUrl returns an error message, then an ScmRepositoryException is thrown with additional messages. These messages aren't made available to the user, although the really should be.

Two possible solutions:

- Override ScmRepositoryException.getMessage()
- Use the additional information when catching the exception.

To see the issue, try "mvn release:prepare" with an invalid URL like "scm:cvs:foobar".
