issues when deploying a site created with tdk on Tomcat 4.0.3 with J2sdk1.4.0 and IIS 5.0

I am trying to deploy a site created with tdk on Tomcat 4.0.3 with
J2sdk1.4.0 and IIS 5.0 (win2K)

(I have created the site using the newapp example of the tdk and it
works fine in the tdk)
(the examples in tomcat work fine)

When I try to access the site by typing URL:8080/appname/servlet/appname
in the browser (IE6.0) I don't get anything until I press enter a second
time

Does any body know what I could be doing wrong?
