Mailing List Archive Files

Hi --

I know there's a searchable index of mail for this mailing list, but where could I find a .tar.gz
of the historical mail for this list, preferably on a month-by-month basis? Some projects have
these readily available for download so that they can be imported into a mail client.

Also, how do I see the posts that I send to the mailing list? Is there a control panel to adjust
that behaviour?

Many thanks,
