Summary: Apache installation wizard interrupted
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.2.4
Platform: All
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Keywords: ErrorMessage
Severity: blocker
Priority: P1
Component: Win32 MSI Installer
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: neoyorkcity@gmail.com
I am running windows xp professional with service pack 2,
my problem is that after i download apache_2.2.4-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi and as an
admin user I double click the installer, only to get this message:
The installation wizard was interrupted before Apache HTTP Server 2.2.4 could
be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time,
please run setup again.
Please tell me how can i fix that problem ?
I have tried the following to no avail
Check permissions on the installation folder. Done. Everyone, SYSTEM, Users,
Administrators and my account have Full rights.
as per (http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/TROUBLESHOOTING.html)
by running the following command with Start -> Run... MSIEXEC /i
d:\path\to\file\apache_version.msi
tried running another version of apache: currently i have tried
apache_1.3.37-win32-x86-no_src.msi
apache_2.0.59-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi
apache_2.0.59-win32-x86-openssl-0.9.7j.msi
apache_2.2.4-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi
apache_2.2.4-win32-x86-openssl-0.9.8d.msi
Disabled AntiVirus; no firewall, or other windows programs running. Tried over
half a dozen times, reboots and all.
Made sure that window's IIS was uninstalled
tried runnning the setup from my C drive (i wonder how this worked for some
user , didnt work me thou )
Try disabling my LAN network and try to end all processes that aint necessary
