[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-13321) Allow sql Streaming Expression to connect with generic http SQL catalog interface

Kevin Risden commented on SOLR-13321:
-------------------------------------

Is there a standard for a generic http interface? I know there is an implementation of an HTTP interface with Apache Calcite Avatica. Not sure that is what is meant here. Could do some dogfooding if SOLR-9963 was integrated?

> Currently the sql Streaming Expression only works with the Solr /sql handler. This ticket will define a more generic HTTP interface which the sql Streaming Expression can operate over. The sql Streaming Expression will be able to switch between the /sql handler syntax and the more generic HTTP interface.
