NOTE: The CHANGES file in the above directory was unfortuantely not updated
but
we have included a link to the updated file on the Releases page above.

This release includes nearly 400 committed changes with some notable new
features:
    * [KNOX-2153] - CM discovery - Monitor Cloudera Manager (#239)
    * [KNOX-2002] - Add a KnoxShellTable to Represent and Render Output in
Tabular Format
    * [KNOX-2224] - KnoxLine and KnoxShell DataSource and Select Command
Alignment (#255)
    * [KNOX-2240] - KnoxShell Custom Command for WEBHDFS Use (#296)
    * [KNOX-2052] - KnoxShellTable mean, median, and mode methods (#163)
    * [KNOX-1740] - Add Trusted Proxy Support to Knox (#106)
    * [KNOX-2056] - Adding Service Definitions management into Admin UI

definitions (#164)
    * [KNOX-2226] - Add home page to Knox (#263)
    * [KNOX-1410] - Knox Shell support for remote Alias management (#210)

Many bug fixes, improvements and library upgrades are also included in this
release.

The release also includes a new focus on the KnoxShell interactive shell
with custom shell commands for easily leveraging JDBC/SQL (Hive and
others), Filesystems (WebHDFS) and working with CSV files locally. This in
the first release to focus on this area and with continued work this shell
will be a client for end-to-end flows from local environments to datalake
storage and processing.

Much of the above has come from KIP-14 [1] proposal for KnoxShell
Improvements for Tabular Data.

We would like to thank all of contributors who made the release
possible and to invite others interested in helping out to engage the
community on the dev and users lists!
