[REPORT] Thrift

Thrift is a framework for providing cross-platform RPC and serialization.

Community
The Thrift community has seen nice consistent traffic of contributions and
tickets.

Releases
We are prepping for an 0.9 release in the coming months.

Website
We completed the release of a new website that addressed the Apache
branding requirements and in general improved the content, appearance, and
maintainability of the website.
