Silence of the ar

    Would anyone mind excessively if the "v" flag were removed from the
    ar commands in the generated Makefile(s)?  I think the output is a
    little excessive (and I'm aware I'm using the word "excessive"
    excessively ;-).  Any problem with the library preload should be
    displayed regardless, and I think it takes someone intimately
    acquainted with the source and the build process to relate ld-time
    errors to problems in the library contents anyway..

Yeah, good idea. I used the same ar flags as modules/proxy/Makefile when
building the library creating stuff to keep everything to the same style. 
But sure, there is no need for the verbose option.
