Hi,

i upvote for this issue. I've provided a PR on the github mirror to avoid to mess with this existing issue. You can find it:

0.9.1 branch => https://github.com/apache/thrift/pull/90
master branch => https://github.com/apache/thrift/pull/91

I'm not providing a branch alias on the 0.9.1 branch as it is not needed (0.9.1 is alread a comparable branch name, and it does not make sense to alias "dev-master" if not on master)
For the master branch, i'm providing a "1.0.x-dev" branch alias
