Resolution: Won't Fix
Reynold,
I am sorry but this is not going to happen. The GH repos are not going to be made available as you have requested. GH mirrors from us, as you know. As you also point out mirroring has been problematic of late.
We are, today, working on resolving this issue by moving the mirroring service to a dedicated AWS instance as opposed to on a very old ASF hosted shared host.
We hope to have this resolved today.
Please bear with us while we work to resolve this for everyone.
