A dynamically scaffolded controller extends `RestfulController`. `update()` bound the new values and then reported success without calling `validate()`, so a unique-constraint failure still showed the success message and the change was not saved.

`update()` now calls `instance.validate()` and returns the edit view when `hasErrors()` is set, before the success flash. Commit `5072eec5e1` is on `8.0.x`, `8.1.x`, and `9.0.x`, and it is in 7.0.17, 7.1.7, 7.2.4, and 8.0.0-RC2.
