> Switch the development branch from Java 8 to Java 9. Trunk will stay in JDK 8. The intent is to start making sure that SIS is compatible with JDK 9 regarding modularisation and also to prepare fixes for some bugs that depend on JDK 9 (see linked issue). The official SIS release however will stay in Java 8 for some time.
