Customer Request email.

Is there any way to configure OFBIZ so that when a customer creates a request
from myportal an email can be sent?

Look at the widgets and code that does that in the eccomerce component.

Probably you can't achieve that only with a configuration, but you can
easily trigger a service call to send email by using ECA on cust
request creation for example.
