What happened to this issue? I am running Maven 2.0.10 and got this error when trying to deploy my site using HTTP:
Wagon protocol 'http' doesn't support directory copying

> wagon-http-lightweight should support PUT operations for file upload

> The lightweight http wagon current throws an UnsupportedOperationException when attempting to "PUT" files. This makes it unusable for deploying files via http (or webdav). I have created a patch that adds file upload capability to the lightweight wagon.
