[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-10036) Enable Roller theme customization on blogs.apache.org

David Nalley commented on INFRA-10036:
--------------------------------------

This probably needs to move to the mailing list. That said, infrastructure isn't the branding police, if there isn't a technical reason for disabling themes, and we aren't already in receipt of a request from vp-brand to restrict this, lets get out of folks way.

> When I setup the Usergrid blog I noticed that theme customization had been turned on and so I spent some hours creating a custom theme for Usergrid.
> Later, when Gavin turned on the MetaWeblog API support for Roller he turned off theme customization, thus hiding my theme and sparking this request.
> I know we have disallowed theme customization before and I am not sure what our current policy is, but I propose that we now allow customized themes and I will volunteer to help any project that has problems with theme customizations... you can assign an incoming theme-related JIRAs to me. WDYT?
