[users@httpd] SSL as dynamic shared object vs compiled-in module.

I read somewhere that SSL doesn't work correctly as a DSO, or that maybe mod_perl, or mod_perl, or mySQL, don't work correctly as DSOs.
Is there a reason that any of these routines couldn't be compiled as DSOs in Apache?
