[jira] [Commented] (PIG-2256) Upgrade Avro dependency to 1.5.3

Dmitriy V. Ryaboy commented on PIG-2256:
----------------------------------------

I *just* bumped the version to 1.5.2 for Tom :-)

Does Avro have a release schedule and notes I can look at? Is the serialization format backwards and forwards compatible?
