[Bug 124219] New: CRASH when open particular html document with wrong name extension .odt

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124219

            Bug ID: 124219
        Issue Type: DEFECT
           Summary: CRASH when open particular html document with wrong
                    name extension .odt
           Product: Writer
           Version: 3.4.0
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows 7
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: open-import
          Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
          Reporter: rainerbielefeld_ooo_qa@bielefeldundbuss.de
                CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org

Steps how to reproduce with "AOO 4.0.1 – German UI / German locale [Rev.
1524958 2013-09-20 11:40:29]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", “historic”
4.0 User Profile used for all predecessor versions:

0. Download / Save
   <https://www.dropbox.com/s/am4zjasceggdi6p/Cours%20-%20Automatique.odt>
   What is sample document for Bug 124041
2. From AOO Start Center menu 'File (AOO) -> Open -> Browse for Sample
document'
   [open]
   Bug: Crash after few seconds. :-(

Additional info:
(a) Already reproducible with
  * server installation of "AOO 3.4.1 – German UI / German locale
     [AOO341m1(Build:9593) - Rev.1372282]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)"
     own separate user profile
  * server installation of "AOO 3.4.0 – German UI / German locale
    [AOO340m1(Build:9590) - Rev.1327774]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)",
    own separate user profile
(b) Still worked fine with
    * OOo 3.3.0
    * OOo 2.0.2
(c) Still Reproducible with server installation of "AOO 4.1.0-Dev – English UI
    / German locale - [AOO410m1(Build:9750) - Rev. 1565724 - 2014-02-09]"
    on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)", own separate user profile.
(d) The problem is not directly related to wrong name extension, crash
    will persist when extension will have been changed to .html
    And a simple LoremIpsum.odt created from LoremIpsum.html by renaming
    will not crash.
    But may be that fact helps to understand why the documents crash
(e) All other documents linked in Bug 124041 also crash

@lauhub:
My main motivation to add you to CC is to show that we are willing to get as
much benefit as possible for AOO from your reports.
Can you please test whether documents also crash for you?

It is tempting to right click - Save Link As... and then you get an odt which
is html in disguise and crash

Created attachment 82570
  --> https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=82570&action=edit
Sample Document

Indeed, with correctly downloaded document there is no crash.

But I think AOO should not crash when it tries to open such a document, but
* Give a warning (contents / mimetype does not match with filename extension)
* not crash.

So we need a fix here.

Refined step by step instruction:
0. Download / Save with rightclick / Save
   <https://www.dropbox.com/s/am4zjasceggdi6p/Cours%20-%20Automatique.odt>
   What is sample document for Bug 124041
   (you may alternatively use this attachment)
2. From AOO Start Center menu 'File (AOO) -> Open -> Browse for Sample
document'
   [open]
   Bug: Crash after few seconds. :-(

(In reply to lauhub from comment #2)
> This is not a bug but an invalid use of Dropbox links.

Please always attach documents here in the bug, if they are not too large!

--- Comment #2 from lauhub <la...@gmail.com> ---
This is not a bug but an invalid use of Dropbox links.

Do not right-click and select "Save target as..." to download these docs
because you will save HTML content into a file with odt extension.

Instead, click on the link and then, in the opened page, click the button.
