I see what happened now, the files for RC3 have been uploaded into the
same directory as for RC2.

Might be better to use a separate directory for each RC.

-1

The file LICENSE-header.txt does not agree with the copy in SVN
It appears to be corrupted in both source archives.
The file checkstyle.xml is completely different from the one in SVN

Looks like the wrong files have been uploaded

-1
The directory does not contain any hashes

Hashes don't agree with downloaded files

There needs to be a link to the KEYS file in the vote e-mail

I see it differently: building the site let's me see if I am building a bad
release, RAT, Clirr, this and that report. I do not want to jump through
hoops. But hey, that's just me.

But we are releasing a source zip to build a jar, not a site.
Seriously... that shouldn't block a release.

Cobertura works fine if executed with 'mvn cobertura:cobertura'. I don't
know why it fails with 'mvn site'. I'll ensure the correct report is
uploaded on the site (the coverage is bad anyway).

Also, the checkstyle reports do not like the headers:
Line does not match expected header line of ' * Unless required by
applicable law or agreed to in writing, software'.

There are many checkstyle issues reported but I am not sure that is any
worse thank before.

PMD has many: Avoid modifiers which are implied by the context
Which should be easy to fix, it just takes time.

-1 (sorry). With the source zip, I ran 'mvn clean site' and got:

So you've got a missing file in the source zip. It sounds like the source
assembly needs to be adjusted.

Also Cobertura blows up (i'm not sure Jacoco would fare better but it might

Signatures and hashes look fine; LICENSE and NOTICE files are included in
release artifacts as well as the binary jar files. `mvn package` runs
successfully from the unpacked source artifacts. Site looks cosmetically
fine; in the future it would be nice to work on the quality metrics,
whether that be by code changes or configuration changes.

+1 to release
